Hieke Dam, violin

Hieke began studying the violin with Wiesje Miedema and Jan Repko at age 6. She entered the preparatory department of the Prins Claus Conservatorium aged 11, where she studied with Annechien van Blom and Natasja Morozowa. During her preparatory study, Hieke was a member of the Haydn Jeugd Orkest for 6 years, of which she was concertmaster for the last 2. She has toured several times with HJO to countries including; Italy, England, Scotland, Spain, Portugal and Austria. Hieke has had masterclasses with amongst others; Coosje Wijzenbeek, Vera Beths en Guillame Tardif. In addition to working as a freelancer, she is also currently doing a Master's degree with Chris Duindam at the Utrecht conservatorium.
